Your Challenge: Complete at Least One Random Act of Kindness Today!

Even the smallest random act of kindness can create a powerful ripple effect for everyone involved. Surprising someone you love or offering a friendly gesture to a stranger is a wonderful way to experience the joy of unexpected kindness.

Ideas for Random Acts of Kindness

An act of kindness can go a long way in making someone’s day. Check out our list of ideas and encourage your kids to choose one too!
  1. 1
Hold the door open for someone.
  2. 2
Do a chore that you normally don't do.
  3. 3
Bring a trash bag on a walk and collect any trash that you come across.
  4. 4
Bake treats for animals. Pets at shelters would love to have treats!
  5. 5
Leave Post-it notes with positive phrases around town or around your house.
  6. 6
Talk to someone in your class you don’t usually talk to.
  7. 7
Invite someone to play at recess or sit with you at lunch that you don’t hang out with very often.
  8. 8
    Give someone a compliment.
  9. 9
Send a drawing or letter to someone you care about.
  10. 10
Create ready-to-go bags for people in need. You can help by filling a bag with a small bottle of water, a quick snack such as raisins, gloves, toothpaste, a toothbrush and a small packet of dog food (their dogs are hungry too!).
