Anna Cathcart

I am passionate about kids’ mental health because I’ve had first hand experience of what it’s like to deeply struggle with mental health as a child and the unique challenges that can come with it. Learning how to navigate severe anxiety throughout my childhood wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support system I was so fortunate to have, and I recognize not all kids have access to the same resources I did. I believe in the importance of not only helping the child directly, but also educating and supporting the adults in their life.

About Anna

At just 22 years old, Canadian native and award-winning actress Anna Cathcart has gained popularity around the world for the beloved characters she has brought to life on screen. Most notably, in 2023, Cathcart emerged as a leading lady, starring as ‘Kitty Song Covey’ in the original series XO, KITTY – a spin-off of Netflix’s globally renowned franchise, TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE, based on the bestselling YA book trilogy. XO, KITTY – Netflix’s first series as a spin-off from an original film recently returned earlier this year for its highly anticipated second season to great reviews and fanfare. Upon release, it reached No. 1 in 32 countries and achieved over 14 million views. The hit series recently wrapped production on its third season.

Honored as a part of Variety’s 2023 Young Hollywood Impact Report, Cathcart first appeared in her career-changing role of ‘Kitty’ in 2018, which earned her critical acclaim for her breakout performance. She has been praised as a “scene stealer” (Deadline), “an icon” (Buzzfeed), “a breakout star” (Yahoo!), and “a fan-favorite” (Teen Vogue).

Cathcart’s very first audition was for the lead role of ‘Agent Olympia’ in the Emmy Award-winning PBS Kids series, ODD SQUAD. She landed the job, won a Canadian Screen Award, and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for her first major performance. Additionally, Cathcart starred as ‘Dizzy Tremaine’ in Disney Channel’s highly successful DESCENDANTS franchise and lent her voice to Paramount Pictures’ THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE 3, due out December 2026.

On social media, Cathcart has amassed over 11 million dedicated followers and counting across Instagram and TikTok. Her global appeal and authenticity have aided in earning her top-tier brand partnerships, such as LEGO, FujiFilm Instax, and Aveeno. Cathcart, proud of her Irish and Chinese descent, also participated in a SESAME STREET musical special in 2021 that celebrated the rich diversity of Asian and Pacific Islander communities.

While working in film and television has kept Cathcart busy, she has always strived to keep her acting career balanced with her studies. She recently wrapped up several semesters at the University of British Columbia, where she studied sociology and creative writing. She now plans to focus on acting full-time. Anna resides in the Vancouver area with her supportive parents and big sister.
