The Columbus Crew Champions Kids’ Mental Health!

The Kids Mental Health Foundation has teamed up with the Columbus Crew to champion children's mental health across the United States.

We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. We’re excited to join together on these events to build a future where mental health is a vital part of growing up. Find out how you can get involved below!

The Kids Mental Health Foundation Night

On Saturday, May 3, fans gathered at Lower.com Field as the Columbus Crew took on Charlotte FC during The Kids Mental Health Foundation Night, raising awareness and funds in support of our mission.

Throughout the match, attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the work of The Kids Mental Health Foundation and make donations at concession stands. Guests also had the chance to bid on autographed custom cleats and jerseys worn by Crew players during the match. The highest bidders took home these one-of-a-kind items, generously donated by the players. It was an impactful and memorable night—both on and off the field—as fans united to support kids’ mental health!

Be a Part of the Kids Mental Health Crew!

In partnership with the Columbus Crew and Homage, we’ve designed a new give-back T-shirt, available in youth and adult sizes, so you can show your support for children’s mental health - in style.

Check out our Kids Mental Health Crew shirts in the Crew Shop at Lower.com Field throughout May or online at Homage.com. A portion of the sales of each shirt will go toward supporting our mission.

Help build a world where mental health is a vital part of every child’s upbringing while cheering on the Crew!

Helping Young Athletes Focus on Mental Health

In sports, there is natural pressure to perform – which can impact kids’ mental health.

According to a survey of parents and caregivers in our eCommunity:

  • 66% are concerned or very concerned about their young athlete’s mental health.
  • Only 20% agreed that mental health is currently being discussed as part of their children’s sports teams.

If you want to talk to a young athlete about pressure but aren’t sure where to start, try these free conversation starters
